OPERATING PRINCIPALS OF CAPITOL INSULATION BLOWING MACHINES

Capitol Insulation Blowing Machines are pneumatic (air) conveying devices that also condition Insulation Fibers.

Material is fed into the hopper in compact form.  The auger preconditions material and feeds it through the material control gate into the shredders where the material is literally torn apart.

Material then flows from the shredders into the air lock feeder.  The air lock feeder contains sealed vanes that rotate inside the feeder; therefore, allowing material to be in a constant air stream without air blowing back up into the hopper.  Material and air now travel through the hose where it is further conditioned by air bouncing the material against the hose walls causing the insulation to open to its desired density.

Material should always be blown out and allowed to fall in place without bouncing off objects and without placing hands over the end of the hose.
